Security Advice for London Business Premises
London business premises can come under attack for all kinds of reasons. Whether its burglars attempting to steal equipment or stock, or vandals wanting to damage your property, or others who may want to sabotage your business for any reason, there are many potential threats to business properties.
However there are a number measures that can be put in place in order to minimise your chances of being badly affected by a break-in or attack. The vast majority of business premises have CCTV cameras in operation 24 hours a day. These will go some way to deterring potential thieves as they can collect vital information which can lead to a conviction in court. Make sure your cameras are well positioned in order to capture the most important areas of your premises. Speared your cameras out too so that no area is left uncovered by the CCTV technology.
Having well lit entrances and exits around your business property is also a good tip. This way a burglar can be seen by passers-by if they are attempting to gain entry through one of these entry points. Also your CCTV will have a better chance of capturing a good picture of the thief if the area is in light.
Clear away bushes or overgrowth near windows and doors. Burglars often use these to hide amongst as it gives them perfect cover. Likewise all rubbish and rubble should be cleared away as these could provide camouflage, and could also be used to fuel an arson attack.
Lock up all ladders near your London business property. Thieves will seek out equipment to help them gain entry to your business property so don’t give them a helping hand. Anti-climb paint should be used on all drain pipes, gates and certain walls as well.
Check that all of your locks on both windows and doors are up to scratch. Locks should comply with the British Standard BS 3621 5-Lever. Also all glass used on doors especially, should be laminated glass as this is more difficult to break.
These tips, in conjunction with a top quality security system, will help ensure you don’t fall prey to an attack on your London business premises.
